Signature Kitchens & Baths March/April 2008 A walnut island top was featured in the March/April edition of Signature Kitchens & Baths Magazine. The top was 3" thick and featured a medium double roman ogee with notch. The edge profile carried through inset arcs on two opposing corners of the island, giving the island additional sophistication. |

The magazine included an edge grain Sapele mahogany block with a bead and cove edge in an article on bringing a new fresh look to a kitchen. |

Design New Jersey February 2008 An Edge Grain Teak tabletop by Grothouse was included in a feature on award-winning kitchen designs. The table top featured inset arcs on each corner, two roman arced ends, and a large roman ogee profile throughout. The tones in the teak complemented the light-colored cabinets throughout the rest of the kitchen. |

NKBA Profiles Winter 2008 An article highlighting the popularity of apron sinks was illustrated with a 3” thick White Oak island top by Grothouse Lumber. The top, part of a kitchen design by Jean Buchen of KT Highland, included a large soapstone apron sink and became a dramatic centerpiece of the kitchen. The island was finished in food-grade mineral oil, making it a functional workspace that is perfect for food preparation. |
