The Grothouse Lumber Company was chosen by House Beautiful magazine for its annual “Kitchen of the Year.” Grothouse products were featured in both the indoor and outdoor cooking environments. Tyler Florence, noted chef, Food Network host and House Beautiful contributing editor, designed this year’s kitchen, described as a “perfect union of tradition, functionality and warm, welcoming design.” The kitchen was located in the heart of Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. The homeowners had located the perfect house, but the property needed major renovations to create the house of their dreams.
