Butcher Block Table by Grothouse

This walnut butcher block table was inspired by our featured piece in House Beautiful magazine for “Kitchen of the Year” designed by Tyler Florence. The table provides your kitchen with a warm, contemporary feel and includes many features for your upmost convenience. Four drawers for convenient storage have soft close to ensure a clean and quiet kitchen.

An integrated knife slot provides an area to put an assortment of knives, giving you as much work space as possible, while keeping your knives at a convenient place for when they need to be used. Tyler Florence liked this feature because it allowed him easy access to knives, while keeping them out of the reach of his young children. The butcherblock surface serves double duty by providing a cutting surface as well as a serving surface, and thanks to the rolling casters, the butcherblock table can be moved tableside for carving a turkey or serving large cuts of meat.

Rolling casters allow the table to be positioned anywhere in your kitchen. They are lockable to keep your work table in place. Magnets are installed in the back for attachment to the desired place for the butcher block table, such as your kitchen island. The magnets easily snap the table in position. Our most detailed feature is the custom laser engraving. The quote from Einstein, “It occurred to me by intuition, and music was the driving force behind that intuition.
